Founder of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Jon Kabat-Zinn describes mindfulness as:

"...awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgementally, in the service of self-understanding and wisdom.”

The American Psychological Association defines mindfulness as:

“…a moment-to-moment awareness of one’s experience without judgment. In this sense, mindfulness is a state and not a trait. While it might be promoted by certain practices or activities, such as meditation, it is not equivalent to or synonymous with them.”

My name is Penny Jordan. I am a trainer with a background as a book author and freelance writer. After years in the corporate world, I have recently transitioned into the role as a Training Developer. I am also a Certified Wellness Program Coordinator and believer in the many benefits of mindfulness.

I completed my Masters of Science for Instructional Design and Technology in 2022. I also have a Bachelors in Workforce Education, Training & Development.
